Preparing Your Dog For Champs Fitness Class

Enroll June 25th through July 5th

NADAC Champs is about 3 months away. Do you want to go to champs feeling confident that your dog is physically ready to handle the high demands of the longer courses at champs? Do you want to know how to properly warm-up and cool down your dog? Join me as I prepare my dogs for champs doing fitness activities.

In this class you will:

*Assess your dog’s current fitness level

*Warm-ups and Cool Downs

*Exercises that mimic movements done in agility

*Exercises to build strength and flexibility

*Improve body awareness and balance

**BONUS I will show you some massage techniques

To give you time to teach your dog the exercises and for your dog to develop muscle and balance, lessons will be given twice a month. Beginner and a more advanced version of each exercise will be shown so if you are just beginning you will learn how to start and if you have more experience then a more advanced option is given. Written notes and videos will show the exercises. You can submit videos and I will give feedback.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to have good form when performing exercises so it is highly encouraged to submit videos so I can make sure the dog has good form.

This is a 3 month class beginning July 1stand ending September 30th. You have will have access to the material for a year.

Equipment: Many of the exercises will be using an aerobic bench, 1 or 2 FITbones, cones and cavalettis. I will also use some other equipment but substitutions can be made. We will figure it out :)

This class is open to any mature healthy sound dog (no puppies). While this class is specifically designed to prepare dogs for champs, all healthy dogs can benefit from this class.
